ACCURACY CHECKS

How We Keep Scorecards Accurate

Each delivery you enter is written to a log with a timestamp, so any scorecard can be read back ball by ball instead of taken on face value. Our scoring rules follow the standard laws of cricket: wides, no-balls, byes and leg byes count the way an umpire counts them, and the over limit comes from the format you picked at the toss. Where a fixture carries cricket markets, that same log is what settlement reads. Corrections are recorded too, so an edit never disappears quietly.

Delivery Log Every ball lands in a timestamped log with the batter, bowler, outcome and any extras attached. If a scorecard looks wrong later, we replay the innings delivery by delivery to find where it drifted.
Umpire-Style Rules Wides, no-balls, byes and leg byes follow standard cricket laws rather than house rules. A free hit after a no-ball, a bowler's over limit and a declaration are handled the way the format says.
Correction Trail Undo covers the last delivery. Anything earlier goes through support and is logged with the over and ball number, so the finished scorecard shows the corrected figure instead of the mistake.
Settlement Read Where a fixture carries cricket markets, settlement reads the same scorecard you see. That keeps the number on your slip and the number on the scorecard from drifting apart over an innings.
399btd What Our Cricket Scorer Handles

What Our Cricket Scorer Handles

Start a match by choosing the format, then add both sides, the toss and the opening pair. From that point you tap what happened: runs off the bat, a wide, a no-ball, byes, a wicket. Strike rotation happens on its own, so the batter on strike stays correct through an odd single or a caught-behind. The scorer also tracks each bowler's over

count, which keeps you inside the limit set by the format. Tapped the wrong button? Undo the last delivery. Chase screens carry the required run rate beside the current one — the number most people at the ground are actually watching.

  • Wides, no-balls and byes
  • Bowler over limits
  • Required run rate on chases
MATCH HELP

Help While You Score a Match

Something goes wrong mid-over and you do not want to abandon the match. Our support desk handles scorer issues the way a cashier handles a wallet question: tell us the match, the over and the ball, and we read the same delivery log you do. Open chat from the scorecard header, or from the account menu on your phone. Scoring a club game in Dhaka this weekend? Say that at the start, because corrections for a local match get handled the same way as a BPL one.

Live Match Chat Open chat from the scorecard header while a match is running. Tell the agent the innings, over and ball, and they read the same delivery log you do. Good for a stuck wicket entry.
Wallet Transfer Help If a bKash, Nagad or Rocket transfer into your account wallet has not shown up, send the transaction ID through chat. We match that reference against the deposit record and tell you the next step.
Score Correction Requests Tapped the wrong outcome on a delivery? Use undo inside the scorer first. If the error is older than the last ball, message support with the over and ball and we correct the card.

Cricket Scoring Terms Explained

Cricket has its own vocabulary and most of it lands on a scorecard. The terms below are the ones people ask about when they open the scorer for the first time: what a maiden over is, why a free hit gets flagged, how the required run rate differs from the current one.

What does run rate mean on a cricket scorecard?

Run rate is runs scored divided by overs faced, shown as runs per over. It tells you how quickly a side is scoring and is the base for net run rate across a league table.

What is a maiden over?

An over where the bowler concedes no runs off the bat and no extras. Six legal deliveries, nothing added to the total. Scorers mark it with an M beside the bowler's figures.

What is the DLS method in cricket?

Duckworth-Lewis-Stern is the calculation used to reset a target when rain cuts an innings short. The scorer applies the revised target the match officials give it rather than working one out.

What is a free hit?

A free hit is the delivery that follows a no-ball. The batter can be dismissed only by run out or a similar fielding offence, so the scorer flags that ball before it is bowled.

What is a partnership in scoring?

The runs two batters add between one wicket and the next, tracked separately for each pair. A full scorecard lists every partnership with the runs and balls faced.

What is required run rate?

The runs per over the chasing side needs from the overs left to reach the target. It moves after every delivery, which is why chase screens show it beside the current run rate.

Common Questions About Cricket Scorer

New to the scorer? These are the practical questions that reach the desk: how a match starts, whether you can fix a delivery entered wrong, and what happens to the scorecard once the last ball is bowled. Answer first, then open the lobby and set up your own match. If yours is not here, chat with support and quote the over and ball — that gets a faster reply than describing the match from the beginning.

Pick the format, add both team names, set the toss and name the opening pair. The scorer opens the first innings straight away, and you can save the match to return to later.

Yes. The scorer does not care about the level. Set the overs yourself for a short tape-ball game, or run the full format for a club fixture. Ball by ball entry works the same way.

It runs in your phone browser, so ordinary mobile data is enough to carry a full innings. There is no separate app download, and the login you use for the lobby opens it.

Tap undo for the last ball. For anything older, message support with the over and ball number. We edit the card and log the change, so the run rate recalculates from the corrected entry.

BPL, IPL and international fixtures are the ones people ask about most. Markets open on the same account you score with, and what you can reach depends on where you are and local law.

It stays in your account with the full innings, bowling figures and partnership list. Open it later to check a result or settle an argument about who actually bowled the last over.
